![]() Spatial data servicesThe resourcesSpatial data, including remote sensing data, is used daily by the Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) to support its various programs and projects. This includes data on hydrology, biota, terrain, vegetation, geology, and important built and natural assets. The spatial data exists as reports, tables, maps, imagery and geographic information system (GIS)readable data which can be used to analyse or model the characteristics of specific features, including terrain, hydrology, and ecological scenarios. Australian Spatial Data Directory (ASDD)The ASDD is an online directory of available spatial data from mainly state, territory and Australian Government agencies. Users can find required spatial data through searching and accessing the metadata (data about data) relating to any listed spatial data resource. Access to the dataMost of MDBA’s spatial data is available to natural resource management agencies and to consultants undertaking project work for MDBA. MDBA’s spatial data is made available under three types of licences, each with an increasing level of restriction on use.
