We work to achieve our goal through a number of programs. Information on these programs is being prepared and progressively uploaded to this site. Basin Plan: preparing the first-ever Murray–Darling Basin Plan — a strategic plan for the integrated and sustainable management of water resources in the Basin Native Fish Strategy: ensuring that viable native fish communities and populations are sustained throughout the Basin’s rivers The Living Murray: aiming to achieve a healthy working River Murray system for the benefit of all Australians Stakeholder engagement: a critical component in developing the Basin Plan: helping people understand the plan development process, the content, potential implications and providing opportunities for people have input into the plan itself. Sustainable Rivers Audit: monitoring Basin health. Riparian Restoration Experiment: restoration of riparian zones. River Murray Water Quality Monitoring Program: primary objective is to collect physico-chemical parameters at 36 sites along the River Murray and the lower reaches of its tributaries. |
