Careers

The Murray–Darling Basin Authority (MDBA) is an Australian Government statutory agency formed in 2008. We are responsible for planning the integrated management of the water resources of the Murray–Darling Basin.

Our work is an integral part of the Australian Government program Water for the Future, which has four priorities:

  • tackling climate change
  • supporting healthy rivers
  • using water wisely
  • securing our water supplies.

In addition to exciting opportunities to work at the forefront of water resource management, MDBA offers excellent employment conditions in a relationship-based environment. We employ staff across a range of professions, including environmental/biological sciences, engineering, community engagement, information and communication technology, policy, communications and administration.
